SoulCycle’s at-home bike, created through their partnership with Variis, has opened up pre-orders for $2,500. However, it does not have nation-wide availability just yet, saying it is available in “select areas”. When you go to the site, and proceed to the pre-order, the first step is entering your zipcode. If you are in an eligible area, you are prompted to put down your deposit of $250 to get on the waitlist. In approximately 2-6 weeks, you expect to be contacted to complete your order, at which point you pay the remaining $2,250.
While you wait for your bike, you can begin using the Variis app (which is the same platform that powers the bike), to start exploring some of the on-demand classes. In addition to SoulCycle spin classes, you can also take classes from brands like Equinox, Precision Run, PURE Yoga, and more. Once your bike arrives, you will then be required to subscribe to the Variis digital membership for $40/month.
SoulCycle is offering a free 30 day trial, and if you don’t like it, you can contact them for a refund and they will schedule pickup of the bike. Just be aware that they will withhold $250 from your refund, for the cost of the pickup & shipping back of the bike. The bike frame itself comes with a 5 year warranty, while the touch screen and all other parts are under warranty for 1 year.
Curious how the cost compares to Peloton? The Peloton bike is $2,245 (which also includes free shipping & assembly), and the digital subscription for Peloton is $39/month. Peloton also offers the same 30 day free trial.
